ETFE, which is short for ethylene tetrafluoroethylene, is a chemical compound used as insulation for wire and cable products. ETFE is popular because of its high corrosion resistance and mechanical strength. This fluorine-based plastic is commonly referred to as its brand name, Tefzel.
